"A blockbuster Fronsac, opaque red in colour, and with a very oaky nose that is sweet and intense…” – Decanter Magazine

This 80/10/10 blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon includes a beautifully light, clear and precise range of aromas of florals and red and black fruit—including violets—as well as aromas of sandalwood, clover and morels. In the mouth, this is a juicy red with tastes of mandarins, plums as well as mint and tarragon. Pair with blackened fish or beef bourguignon. 94 points" - Tom Mullen FORBES

"Fronsac. It's a little-known viticultural area close to two famous ones, St.-Emilion and Pomerol, According to one French tome, the Canon-Fronsac wines are rich and supple” - Frank J. Prial New York Times

 Gaby Mix Case 2002, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010

This wine, produced from a small parcel, is still very firm, young and tight. Its tannins dominate, leaving only hints of the red berries that should be there. It has weight and should open up over the next few years. - Wine Enthusiast

Winemaker Notes: Damien Landouar

Château Gaby 2002 A miraculous month of September saves a vintage where everything had been fierce against it until the eve of the harvest. After a catastrophic spring and summer, the Indian summer saves 2002. 80% Merlot, 10% Cab Sauvignon, 10% Cab Franc. Ruby color with orange notes. The nose is delicate, notes of stewed red fruits, undergrowth, blond tobacco. The palate is fresh and delicate with a very nice minerality and a very nice balance.

Château Gaby 2004 A vintage of great quality. Spring and early summer were very lenient, the end of summer was more chaotic! But once again September was exceptional. 80% Merlot, 10% Cab Sauvignon, 10% Cab Franc. Intense color with orange notes. The nose is of great finesse, with notes of black fruits, tobacco and cedar. The mouth is full and creamy with a very nice freshness. It is a very balanced wine with great finesse.

Château Gaby 2006 The start of a wet spring, followed by a very dry summer with excessive temperatures, August was unusually wet, but a very beautiful late season in September with high temperatures. 2006 was a very sunny and very technical vintage. 80% Merlot, 10% Cab Sauvignon, 10% Cab Franc. Intense color with tiled reflections, Black fruits, notes of blond tobacco, the mouth is full and long. The tannins are silky and velvety.

Château Gaby 2007 A classic vintage of finesse and elegance. marked by very poor weather from June to mid-August. The vineyard enjoyed a month of September with ideal climatic conditions, that is to say with hot days and cool nights. 80% Merlot, 10% Cab Sauvignon, 10% Cab Franc. Very beautiful color, intense with a slight evolution. The complex zest, red fruits and notes of trues. The attack is fresh and full. The tannins are elegant, notes of red fruits and spices accompany the finish.

Château Gaby 2008 A year in balance for the seasons, a fairly wet but sunny spring, a summer filled with sunshine with reasonable temperatures, a mild and dry late season. 80% Merlot, 10% Cab Sauvignon, 10% Cab Franc. Beautiful intense color with orange reflections, the nose is complex with notes of red fruits and true. The mouth is full-bodied, complex with a lot of freshness, the tannins are silky, the aromas of true bring a lot of elegance.

Château Gaby 2010 For me one of the best vintage in Bordeaux. The climate was perfect in terms of sunshine and precipitation. 80% Merlot, 10% Cab Sauvignon, 10% Cab Franc. Intense and deep color, the nose is complex with notes of red fruits and black fruits. The palate is of great aromatic complexity, the spice and fruit notes blend perfectly with its minerality, very good length on the palate.

Our wines are made with organically grown grapes and estate grown, which the winemaker personally cares for from vine to the wine.

How obsessed are we about making great wine a naturally as possible? We even play music to the vines twice per day - this practice is called "Genodics uses various sound waves and frequencies to stimulate the vines natural resistance to pathogens such as bacteria, fungus, and viruses. This allows us to leave out the chemicals and pollutants.... Pure as nature intended.

Estate Grown and bottled at the Château Not bulk wine, only wine we care for the entire season and we oversee the entire process.

Merci and Sante

At Château Gaby our winemaking process is a natural as it can be - Never adding flavorings or colorings - each year will taste a bit different - due to weather conditions, etc - this does make farming more difficult but we believe strongly this how wine should be a natural process, not made in a factory to taste the same year after year.

Château Gaby

Located just an hour’s drive east from the city of Bordeaux, Château Gaby is a jewel of the Canon-Fronsac appellation. Nestled on a hilltop overlooking the vineyards, the 18th century château is a stunning representation of the area’s long history of winemaking.

The first vines were planted on Gaby’s hills in the 1600s. Today, the estate produces some of the world’s finest Bordeaux wines. Lovingly restored in 2006, the interior of the château reflects the beauty of Bordeaux's countryside. The view from the chateau is spectacular and considered the most beautiful panoramic viewpoint in all of Bordeaux.
